to be inSpirit
In Judaism, there is a quote that says, "Just as one candle ignites another, may we ignite each other's spirits".
That truth has guided me through so many seasons of my life. The call to share light in a world that often feels heavy has only grown stronger over the years.
The inSpirit Initiative was born out of that call. In the summer of 2020—right before the world shifted into deep uncertainty—I began feeling a pull to live with more intention and to create something that could serve others. At the same time, my own life was changing in unexpected ways, especially around my health and overall well-being.
What followed was a season of discovery. I started looking more closely at the simple, grounding moments in my life—baking with my daughters, spending time outdoors, learning to tend both body and spirit through yoga, herbalism, and natural wellness. It wasn’t about quick fixes, but about slowly weaving practices that helped me heal, grow, and reconnect to what matters most.
That year also brought a pivotal spiritual step: baptism. It was something I had carried in my heart for years, but it wasn’t until my eight-year-old daughter asked if I would do it with her that I finally said yes. That shared decision altered the way I viewed faith and commitment, not only for myself but also for the kind of legacy I want to leave for my family.
Looking back, it wasn’t one single event that lit this fire—it was a series of moments that cracked me open. Together, they felt like an initiation: an invitation to release my old ways of holding on so tightly, and to let Spirit move through my life in new ways.
Since then, I’ve learned to notice and receive guidance in many forms—through relationships, books, movement, music, art, nature, and even in the way challenges push us to grow. These experiences became the foundation of the inSpirit Initiative.
My hope is that this space can serve as a reminder that, no matter where you are in your own journey, you can find your way back to light, strength, and purpose. We don’t have to do it alone. We can ignite something in each other—something steady, honest, and life-giving.
With gratitude and encouragement,
